Meet with business advisors from the Leeds Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre who can help you with a variety of things including business planning, finding funding, registering and licensing, and growing your business. They are in North Grenville every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Book an appointment today

January 9-Starter Company Plus Info Session

Starter Company Plus is a program for new entrepreneurs (operating your business for 5 years or less). Participants get hours fo free training form business mentors and up to $5,000 in funding. You must attend this information session to apply for the program. Register before spaces are filled. 

January 24-QuickBooks Online Basics 

Facilitated by the Leeds Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre this workshop will hone your online accounting skills. Topics covered will be creating estimates, converting those to invoices, receiving payments, tracking expenses and running reports. Learn more and register.

January 27-How To Create Effective Facebook Ads

Posting organically on your Facebook Page can be great if you have a large following, but when you don't, this can be harder for you to advertise to your desired audience. January 20-Healthy Farmers, Healthy Farms: Supporting Our Rural Communities

A variety of speakers with diverse backgrounds in Mental Health, Farm Business Management and Community Support will help workshop participants recognize the signs of stress and build the knowledge, skills and practices to gain the confidence to assist one another and build a local support network, while putting measures in place to support their own mental health.

January 27-Land-Linking and Farmland Conservation Workshop

A workshop series for farmers and aspiring farmers of all ages and career stages. Learn about succession models, farmland conservation options, including Conservation Easements and Land Trusts, and support and resources for new farmers. Networking opportunities for young and aspiring farmers seeking land, established or retiring farmers in search of successors or farmland tenants, and rural landowners with farmland to rent, share, or protect. Session in Manotick.

February 11-Food, Agriculture and Economic Opportunities in Merrickville-Wolford and Region

Stephen Duff, Chief Economist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, will be presenting his analysis and findings on the Agri-food sector in Merrickville-Wolford, along with a sector outlook at the Counties and Provincial levels. Steve’s presentation is packed with information that characterizes our local agri-food sector in Merrickville-Wolford and identifies areas of potential economic opportunity.
